Clear, accessible conversations about the Constitution, American history, and the issues shaping our republic.
About Us ...
The Mission Behind the Mic
We’re Rob and Lou — two friends who believe that understanding the Constitution shouldn’t require a law degree. What started as our own conversations about civics, history, and the challenges facing the country has grown into a mission: making these topics clear, engaging, and accessible for everyone. Through honest dialogue, curiosity, and a shared love of this Republic, we break down the debates, decisions, and principles that shaped America — and why they still matter today.

Our Story
Where do we start? Rob and Lou are, in every meaningful way, brothers from another mother. It’s a cliché, sure — but in this case, it happens to be true. They met as courtroom clerks in Hartford’s Criminal Court, and from the moment they crossed paths, the bromance was instant. A shared love of history, law, the military, and a deep pride in the United States sealed the deal. They hit it off, and the rest is — quite literally — history.

Life took them down different professional paths, but the friendship never wavered:

-
Lou built a 30‑year career as a prosecutor for the State of Connecticut. Alongside that, he earned his commission in the U.S. Coast Guard Reserve, serving 20 years with three overseas deployments and retiring as a Commander in 2016. Today, he continues to serve by training law enforcement and military professionals as a consultant.

-
Rob launched his own legal practice, spending more than 30 years specializing in civil litigation, family law, and mediation. In addition to some whiskey writing and ventures, he now runs an online mediation firm helping people resolve conflicts with clarity and compassion.

What started as two friends talking about the country they love has grown into a mission: helping others understand the Constitution, the debates that shaped it, and the responsibilities we all share in keeping this Republic.
